The UV lamp is especially designed for the TruSens Z-1000 air purifier from Leitz. An important part of the air purification system, the UV bulb destroys germs and bacteria. Microscopic airborne organisms get trapped in air filters, where they could multiply if left untreated. The UV light reduces the growth of odour-causing microbes on the surface of the air purifier filter. Change indicator light turns red on the device when the air purifier UV bulb need to be replaced.
